Empire star Gabourey Sidibe has hit back at body-shamers who taunted her after a raunchy love scene.
The scene saw the 32-year-old’s character Becky Williams enjoying an intimate moment with her boyfriend MC J Poppa (played by Mo McRae) on a rooftop .
But people took to social media to share their disgust and a meme was created, implying that her character wasn't attractive enough to win the affection of someone like MC J Poppa.
It’s not the first time people have attacked her for her weight after she appeared in a white dress for the Golden Globes.
She replied sarcastically that when she read the comments she cried in the private jet all the way to her dream job.
The American TV show is currently on its second series.
