Three people bailed following death of man in Dorchester

Two men arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who died after being found with serious head injuries in Dorchester last month have been released on police bail.

The victim, who was in his 60s, was discovered at an address on Milford Road after police were called there on the morning of March 18 following reports of an assault.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, but died on Saturday morning.

An 18-year-old and a 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiring to pervert the course of justice, but have now been released as inquiries continue.

A 44-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to pervert the course of justice and assisting an offender has also been released on police bail.

The victim and bailed individuals were known to each other, Dorset Police said.

His family have been told of his death and a file has been passed to the coroner.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Huxter of Dorset Police said: "The man's family have been informed of this latest development and our thoughts continue to be with them all.

"Our inquiries into his death remain ongoing.

"We understand this incident will be of concern to the community and officers from the neighbourhood policing team can be approached to discuss any specific issues."
