Three arrested after man stabbed in Poole

A man is being treated for head, back and leg injuries after being stabbed in Poole.

He was found at a property in Albert road in the early hours of Saturday 6th March.

Three men - two from Bournemouth and one from Poole - have been arrested in connection with what happened.

Dorset Police have released this statement:

Detectives investigating an alleged assault in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 1.41am on Saturday 6 March 2021 of a disturbance involving a group of men at an address in Albert Road.

Officers attended and located a man aged in his 30s with injuries to his head and back, as well as a stab wound to his leg.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not life-threatening.

Following enquiries, two men from Bournemouth – aged 18 and 36 – and a 19-year-old Poole man have been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

They are all currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Andrew Kennard, of Bournemouth CID, said: “An investigation is underway into the incident and officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries at the scene.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the Albert Road area around the relevant time and may have seen or heard anything that may assist my enquiries to please get in touch.

“I would also like to ask anyone who may have relevant dashcam or home CCTV footage to please come forward.”
