Settlement reached over troubled Cowes floating bridge

It's been announced a 'full and final settlement' has been reached to end the legal dispute over the troubled Cowes floating bridge.
It's been plagued with problems since it launched in 2017 - prompting Isle of Wight Council to take action against the architects and builders.
But we won't know how much the authority's getting as it's been agreed the terms will remain confidential.
In a statement, Isle of Wight Council said: "The Isle of Wight Council, Burness Corlett Three Quays (Southampton) Limited and Mainstay Marine Solutions Limited can confirm that a full and final settlement has been reached at mediation to end the legal dispute between the parties relating to Floating Bridge 6.
"It has been agreed that the terms of the settlement should remain confidential, and no party will make any further statement relating to the terms of the settlement agreement."
