Queen guitarist Brian May has given his seal of approval for a series of new sculptures in Selsey.
The five seals, designed and painted by Chichester College students, form an arts trail through the town.
One of them pays tribute to Brian May's old friend and Selsey resident, the late Sir Patrick Moore.
Brian said: "On a spot where I used to occasionally roam with Sir Patrick, I was able to unveil an intriguing memorial to his legacy."
Selsey’s name derives from the Anglo Saxon meaning ‘Seal Island’.
Megan Masters, 17, who designed one of the seals, said: "It’s been really exciting to be involved with the project.
"I can’t quite believe that my seal is now here for everyone to see."
Andy Davies, from Chichester College, said: "We are extremely proud to have been invited to take part in this fantastic project and our students have really risen to the challenge."
