Police are investigating an aggravated robbery in Chandler's Ford.

A Ford Transit van was raided on Suffolk Drive at around 10.35pm last night with £4,500 worth of tools taken.

A member of the public was also threatened with a weapon and a nearby vehicle was badly damaged.

Hampshire Police say it's alleged three men had threatened a member of the public with an offensive weapon, before proceeding to strike a nearby vehicle causing significant damage to the bonnet and headlights.

Police Constable Jodi Bartlett, said: “We are really keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in relation to this incident. Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you witnessed what happened? Or maybe you have CCTV or Ring doorbell footage of the incident taking place?

“This was an aggravated robbery where extreme violence was threatened and significant alarm and distress caused to those involved. We are carrying out a number of enquiries today in the local area to locate those responsible – including house-to-house visits and forensics – but we would implore anyone with information to come forward.

“No matter how small, or insignificant you believe it to be, it could prove vital in our investigation.”
