Police detain teenage girl after school staff member attacked
Officers were called out at lunchtime
A teenage girl has been detained after reports a member of staff was attacked at a school in Bournemouth.
It happened at the Bishop of Winchester Academy in Charminster this afternoon.
Police say damage was also caused to school property.
In a statement, Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 1.38pm on Tuesday 9 May 2023 of a teenage girl in breach of her bail conditions in Mallard Road in Bournemouth.
"It was subsequently reported that the girl had entered the grounds of the Bishop of Winchester Academy and assaulted a member of staff, as well as causing damage to school property.
"Officers have attended and a girl has been detained."
