Police confirm identity of man believed to have been murdered
Scott Cooper was found dead in a flat in George Street, Ryde
Police have confirmed the identity of a man thought to have been murdered in a flat in Ryde.
Scott Edward Cooper, 33, of Newport, was discovered dead in the property in George Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr Cooper's next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.
Three men aged, 28, 29 and 38 are being held on suspicion of murder.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting Operation Amaryllis.
A police watchdog is investigating the circumstances surrounding the police response to the incident.
Officers had initially attended the flat in George Street at 2.50am on Tuesday.
