Man seriously injured in crash on A27 near Chichester

A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries from a crash on the A27 near Chichester.
The 53-year-old driver crashed at the Tangmere roundabout shortly before 2.00am on Saturday.
The eastbound carriageway was closed for seven hours as police investigators examined the scene.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: "A 53-year-old local man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it, or who has any relevant dash cam footage."
