Hundreds of bales of hay destroyed in barn fire
Around 35 firefighters were needed to tackle the flames
Around 1,400 bales of hay have been destroyed by a fire on a farm near Romsey.
Crews were called to a barn on Common Hill Road. Braishfield at 1.30pm on Monday.
People living nearby were urged to keep their windows and doors shut due to the thick smoke.
Firefighters from Romsey, Redbridge, Eastleigh, Hightown and St Mary’s were supported by water carriers at the scene.
