Hampshire mum-of-five dies in Wales car crash

The family say they're heartbroken

The 32-year-old woman and the 32-year-old man who died following a road traffic collision on Ysysybwl Road in Pontypridd on Friday 27 January have been named.

Kayleigh Cornwell was 32-years-old and from the Hampshire area.

Her family have paid the following tribute to her:

“Kayleigh was a daughter, sister and mother to five beautiful children who she adored and was adored by them.

“Kayleigh had a troubled life but made the best of it and could see a future. We are all heartbroken.

“We hope Kayleigh is at peace and goes onto a better life, knowing how much she was truly loved by us all.”

Jason Morgan was 32-years-old and from the Ynysybwl area of Pontypridd. His family are grateful to everybody involved and their thoughts are with the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision.

South Wales Police are continuing to investigate the fatal road traffic collision which happened on B4273, Ynysybwl Road, Pontypridd, at 6.30pm on Friday 27 January.

The collision involved a black Ford Focus and a three pedestrians.

We're told police are not looking for anyone else in connection to this incident. The driver remained at the scene to assist officers.

Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has CCTV or dash cam footage that may have captured the incident, to contact them by one of the following means quoting occurrence number 2300028708.
