Hampshire cricket has announced it's preparing for the return of fans to the Ageas Bowl next month.

A number of club members will be allowed for the County Championship match with Leicestershire starting on 19th May.

Bosses say they'll be allocated seating with strict social distancing measures in place.

In a statement on their website, the club said: "Hampshire Cricket are delighted to confirm that the Club are preparing to permit 2021 Members to attend next month's LV= Insurance County Championship four-day fixture against Leicestershire at The Ageas Bowl between Wednesday 19th May and Saturday 22nd May.

"In order to ensure the safe return of spectators, attendance at the fixture will be available for Members only with seating to be allocated and strict social distancing measures in place.

"All Members will have received communication regarding their attendance and will be able to book their place should they wish to attend. Please note, all bookings will need to be submitted by Sunday 9th May."
