Firefighters wear breathing gear to tackle fire in flat above pub

An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire in a flat above a pub near Fareham.

Firefighters were called to The Hook in Warsash shortly after 4.30am on Tuesday.

A fire service spokesman said the fire was believed to have started in a utility room and spread to the roof.

Firefighters wore breathing gear and used an aerial ladder to strip tiles from the roof.

There were no reported injuries.
