It's been reported a man's been taken to hospital after it's believed he got into difficulty in the water at Ashby Ville nature reserve in Scunthorpe yesterday afternoon.

He's thought to be in a serious condition.

It's the same location where 14 year old Kai Gardner Pugh lost his life after going into the water just over a year ago.

Meanwhile a water activity centre manager in East Yorkshire says kids are risking their lives to steal boats to use on the water.

Last week saw one of their busiest times yet for tackling anti-social behaviour around the lake.

Peter Bliney is the centre manager at Welton Waters Adventure Centre, he said:

“They’re having to go through lots of weed to even get to the sailing club – they’re putting themselves in danger. The police have been called because of the behaviour of the young people on the bank.

“They’re going out into the water with the boats using them for their own pleasure. They belong to the people from the sailing club and it isn’t on.”
