Woman injured in hit and run in Goole

A woman has been treated for injuries after being hit by a car that failed to stop in Goole. It happened at 7pm on Mariners Street last night.

A Police spokesperson said:

"A dark coloured car, possibly a Ford, failed to stop at the scene of a collision at 7pm this evening on Mariners Street in Goole."

"A local woman was struck by the vehicle and has been taken to Scunthorpe District Hospital for treatment to serious but not thought to be life-threatening injures."

"We are seeking the driver of the vehicle and would ask for him, or anyone who knows who he is, to contact us as a matter or urgency."
