Two men arrested after an alleged attempted ATM theft in Hull

Two men have been arrested after an alleged ATM theft in Hull.

Officers were called just before 5.30 this morning to Kingswood Retail Park.

A Police spokesperson said:

"We were called at 5.25am reporting two men allegedly attempting to steal an ATM near Cineworld at Kingswood Retail Park, Hull.

"Police attended and one of the men attempted to flee the area in a Jeep colliding with the second man and a police officer.

"Both men (aged 35 and 45) have been arrested in connection with the incident.

"35-year-old man involved in the collision has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment to non-life threatening injuries. The Police Officer has sustained a injured leg.

"Road closures are in place in the immediate area whilst police investigate."
