Two arrested after Grimsby Police chase
Two men have been arrested after a police chase through Grimsby on Wednesday morning
At 3.59am (Wednesday 8 March) a black Vauxhall Insignia was in a serious road traffic collision on Chelmsford Avenue in Grimsby.
Both the occupants allegedly tried to resist arrest, before being arrested on suspicion of car theft and driving offences.
The passenger in the car, a 31-year-old man, was taken to Diana Princes of Wales Hospital, before being transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
The driver, a 29-year-old man, has received treatment and is in police custody.
The crash followed a short police pursuit after the car failed to stop.
An investigation into the incident is underway and the Independent Police Complaints Commission have been made aware.
