Six men and a woman are being questioned by detectives after a fight in the Spring Bank area of Hull.

Officers were called around 3.50 pm on Sunday afternoon (30th July) to reports of a group fighting in the street with weapons.

Three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries - which aren't believed to be life-threatening at this time.

One man is believed to have suffered a fractured eye socket.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police say they're in the "early stages of their investigation" to understand what happened.

There's been a Section 34 Dispersal Order put in place covering the Spring Bank and Princes Ave area.

It means that anti-social groups can be split up, and anyone thought to be carrying a weapon can be searched.

Detective Sergeant Steven Bowley says the force wants to "reassure communities in and around this area that we will not tolerate violence such as this, and we will continue our investigations until all those involved are brought to justice".

Anyone who has information about what happened, or might have CCTV, dashcam or video footage is being encouraged to get in contact with police using log 337 of 30th July.
