Teams from East Riding Council will be offering advice on keeping safe on our roads this week.

It's to mark national Road Safety Week 2022, and will see the Council's road safety team visiting towns and schools across the East Riding.

Two pop-up stalls are being held too, one in Pocklington Market on Tuesday and one in Beverley's Saturday Market on Wednesday.

The team will be on hand to offer advice to all road users on the recent updates to the Highway Code.

During this week they will also be visiting a nursery to lead road safety activities with the youngsters and will be calling into various secondary schools across the East Riding to hand out bike lights to children who are cycling to school.

The team will also be giving road safety presentations at some junior schools over the next couple of weeks.

Cllr Chris Matthews said: “Our team wants to get the road safety message out there to people of all ages in order to keep all users safe on the East Riding’s roads this winter."

“Please pay the team a visit team if you can and see what advice they can offer.”

Residents find advice here for drivers, parents, schools, and how to stay safe as a pedestrian, cyclist, horse rider of motorcyclist.
