Police have launched a major appeal to find the killer of a man who died following a fire at a house in Hull.
54-year-old Anthony Ibbitson died a week ago today.
Detectives say they've been working around the clock since Anthony's death.
They want to hear from anyone who was driving near Beverley Road and Spring Bank between 7pm and 8pm on the 29th November - particularly if they have dashcam footage.
Anthony died following a house fire on Terry Street last Wednesday.
In a statement his family have said:
"Tony was loved by so many people; he will never be forgotten.
“He was everything to us, he was a pure and kind person, he would do anything for anybody and ask for nothing in return.
“This shouldn’t have been allowed to happen. Someone has taken him from us, and we are all truly heart broken and devastated.
“We would like to thank everyone for their help and support so far. Your messages and kind words mean so much to us.
“Somebody knows where his killer is and they must caught. Please help us to find him.
“Please come forward with any information you may have, no matter how small or irrelevant it may seem. We just want justice for Tony.
“Please help us find who has done this to him."
Leading the investigation into Anthony’s murder, Detective Chief Inspector Amy Keane-Christie said:
“Over the course of the last nine days, a team of detectives have worked around the clock conducting extensive lines of enquiry into Anthony’s death.
“As a part of our extensive investigation, earlier this week we released CCTV of a man, seen on the junction of Beverley Road and Spring Bank, who we are still interested in identifying and speaking with.
“I am now appealing directly to anybody who was driving in this location, between Beverley Road, Ferensway, Springbank or Freetown Way on Wednesday 29, November, between 7pm and 8pm who has dashcam or information to please contact us.
“Throughout the course of this afternoon and into this evening, members of the public can expect to see digital screens in key locations in the city, as we continue with our investigation and appeal.
“Officers from our neighbourhood policing team will also be out and about in the area of Terry Street, Hull speaking with members of the community and handing out flyers to assist us with our lines of enquiry in identifying the man we would like to speak to from our CCTV appeal.
“No matter how small you think the information you have is, it may be vital to our investigation.”
"Please call us on 101, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting log number 422 of 29 November."
