“People have been enjoying the football with little to minimal disruption” says Chief Superintendent Darren Wildbore

There are hopes bad behaviour will be kept to a minimum tonight as England play Denmark in the semi-finals of the euros.
It follows low numbers of incidents recorded by Humberside Police.
Lee Sims is the chair of the Humberside Police Federation, he said:
“Humberside Police have recognised the need to deploy extra officers for public re-assurance but because of the good nature of the public, police haven’t been needed for drink related issues when the football has been on.”
Police are still urging punters to behave themselves and follow the guidelines after recent news of restrictions easing on the 19th July.
Lee added:
“People will be less cautious and may need reminding of the guidelines still in place for their safety. We still expect people to go out and enjoy themselves but we still want to remind them that all restrictions have not been lifted yet.”
