Police cordon removed over a 'potential mortar shell' in Hull

Humberside Police were called out to West Parade and Stanley Street, in Hull after reports were made over the discovery of a ‘potential mortar shell.’

A cordon was put in place but was removed around 5:10pm. EOD attended and deemed the object a detonated training device.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, said:

“There is no risk to the wider public."
