Officers remain at Goole site to assess unexploded bomb

Humberside Police were called to Rawcliffe Road yesterday morning

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and officers from Humberside Police are in attendance at a location on Rawcliffe Road in Goole, to reports of what is believed to be an unexploded bomb.

Police were called to the scene at 11:45am yesterday (Thursday 22 July.)

The situation is being assessed and the surrounding area has been cordoned off as a precaution.

A spokesperson from Humberside Police, said:

“We ask that people avoid the area until we are able to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

“The cordon will remain in place until the EOD have completed their operations.”
