New state-of-the-art incubator to help care for premature babies in Hull

A baby born at just 23 weeks has become the first to benefit from a state of the art new incubator at Hull's neonatal intensive care unit.
The new equipment is so advanced it's being described as "the next best thing to the womb" as it allows babies to listen to their mum's heartbeat.
It also has other special noise and light features that help support babies' growth and development better than normal incubators.
It's being trialled at the hospital this week but is set to become a permanent feature thanks to the generosity of a local family who helped raise ÂŁ18,000 to fund one like it.
