Mitch Garbutt to cut short his Hull KR stay
He'll leave the club at the end of the season
Hull KR prop forward Mitch Garbutt will leave the club at the end of the season.
Australian-born Garbutt, who joined the Robins for the start of the 2019 campaign, still has a year to run on his contract.
Rovers said in a statement:
"Garbutt will be making a move to pursue further career options for 2021, leaving his contract with Hull KR a year early.''
Head coach Tony Smith added:
"We wish Mitch all the best for the future. We're all confident that he's going to finish out the season strong with the club.
"He's been a fantastic servant for us and we are all extremely grateful for his contributions.''
Garbutt, dogged by knee issues in recent seasons, had surgery during the off-season but sustained a new knee problem earlier this year.
