Man who sadly died following A1033 collision named
56-year-old Richard Goodwin passed away at the scene in East Yorkshire
Following a fatal road traffic collision on Saturday 26 June, on the A1033 Patrington Road, East Yorkshire, a man who sadly died at the scene has been named as 56-year-old Richard Goodwin.
Richard was a father of five children, and leaves behind a loving partner, sister and parents. He was a kind, caring, selfless person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Humberside Police are sending they're thoughts to his loved ones at this time, who have understandably been left devastated by the incident.
Officers were called to A1033 Patrington Road, East Yorkshire between Ottringham and Patrington after they received reports that a car had collided with a bicycle.
A red Nissan Juke is believed to have been travelling west bound between Patrington and Ottringham before veering on to the wrong side of the road and colliding with a bicycle. The Nissan Juke is then reported to have left the road, ploughed through a field coming to a stop in a residential garden.
A man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving has now been released under investigation as detectives continue their enquiries.
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the vicinity with dash cam footage, or who was travelling along the A1033 Patrington Road at around 9pm, or moments prior, and saw the collision, to call them on their non-emergency number 101 quoting log 652 of 27 June.
