It happened just before midday yesterday (05/10).

Shortly before 11.45 am, a grey Volvo, which was travelling along Priory Road in Cottingham left the road, and collided with a telegraph pole.

Police say reasons why the car left the road are still unclear.

Officers are now wanting to hear from anyone who may have been travelling along Priory Road, Cottingham or Newgate Street around the time of the collision, and may have dash-cam footage, or saw anything that could help with investigations.
