Hull FC have completed the signing of former State of Origin half-back Josh Reynolds for next year's Super League season.

The 31-year-old, who will join from NRL club Wests Tigers, has agreed an initial two-year deal with an option of a third year.

He came through the ranks at Canterbury Bulldogs and reached two Grand Finals before moving to Wests in 2017.

Reynolds told Hull's official website:

"I'm really excited and proud to be joining a club like Hull FC, they're a big club with great heritage and a very passionate set of fans.

"I've heard a lot about the club and their vision which is exciting and I'd love to get over to the UK and try and win a trophy with them.''

Hull head coach Brett Hodgson said the signing of Reynolds would improve his team-mates and issued a major statement of the club's intentions:

"Josh is an elite player, he builds his game around work ethic and effort, and that's what we are after here at the club - he'll be a real leader for us.

"He's played Origin, Grand Finals, and Prime Minister's XIII matches, he's been involved in the game for a long time. He is the sort of player who will bring out the best in the other players around him.''
