Haltemprice and Howden's MP reveals his concerns about civilian casualties in Gaza

The MP for Haltemprice and Howden has revealed his concerns for civilian casualties in the war between Israel and Hamas hoping they can be kept to a minimum.
The Hamas-run health ministry says more than 9,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7th when Israel launched its military response to attacks by the group.
MP David Davis says civilian deaths are tragic but unavoidable in this conflict.

He told us: "Keep in mind Hamas have been carrying out rocket attacks throughout all this time so you can understand why Israel's definitely trying to control that."
"But there are better ways."
"We will be arguing for the absolute minimum civilian impact that could possibly be viable in the circumstances."
"They have the absolute right to defend themselves militarily but you can't take a population as it were - hostage."

"I'm glad to see they're now enabling trucks in and people out, including of course British citizens".
"These are unbearable things to hear on the radio but we have to keep our eye on getting an outcome which is good for Israel but also good for the Palestinians who live at the moment a pretty miserable life in Gaza and actually deserve a decent life as the rest of us do."
