Fans of the "big six" English football clubs are being invited to exchange their shirt for a Grimsby Town one.

It's after the announcement of a European Super League, which has seen widespread criticism.

Anyone who owns a shirt from Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham or Chelsea can take part, as long as it's no more than three seasons old.

It will be replaced with a 2020/21 replica Grimsby Town shirt, while stocks last.

All shirts surrendered will be donated to local youth groups, and humanitarian projects in Africa.

A statement on the club's website says: "You will be able to surrender your shirts in the Club Shop or Mariners Trust Bar between 10am and 4pm on weekdays and varying times over the weekend.

"Without fans, football and Grimsby Town Football Club are nothing. We would like to thank you for the fantastic support you have provided us this season and we cannot wait to welcome you back to Blundell Park as soon as possible."
