A fundraiser has been set up in memory of Scott Akester.

The 31-year-old died on Saturday (19th November) in hospital, after reportedly being assaulted outside a pub in Grandale in Hull in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A GoFundMe page was set up by a family friend, who says "after speaking to his Scot's dad , I have decided to raise some money to go towards his funeral".

Humberside Police say they've launched a murder investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Gallagher, who is leading the investigation says "Our thoughts are with Scott’s family at this very difficult time, and I can assure them that we will do everything we can to bring those responsible to justice."

Three people have now been arrested in connection with Scott's death.

A 29-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of murder, whilst a 33-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three remain in custody at this time.

Police say there will be an increased presence of officers in the Grandale area as investigations continue - and we're being encouraged to feel free to chat with officers who are out and about.

Anyone with information about what happened are being encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting log 16 of 19 November.
