Fire crews respond to HUGE blaze in Hessle

Humberside Fire and Rescue are responding to a huge fire in Hessle.

At least ten fire engines are at the scene of an industrial building.

People living nearby are being urged to keep their windows closed because of smoke.

The fire service says it's in the Priory Way to A63 area.

Humberside Police is also urging people to avoid the area.

Local MP Emma Hardy is echoing calls for people to stay away.

Posting on social media, she says she's hearing reports the blaze is at the Thompsons plastics factory.

There are also reports of neighbouring businesses being affected by the incident, with buildings evacuated.

Some are also reporting a loss of power.
