The leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council has written to the Prime-Minister to ask for extra support in dealing with coronavirus cases.

Councillor Richard Burton said: "During this difficult time, it is vital that the East Riding and Hull continue to work together to drive down infection rates.

He's warned that the council will need additional support if it's going to make the best use of new lateral flow tests, that can return results in under an hour.
