Police in Hull are looking for a Good Samaritan who helped a 14-year-old boy who was apparently threatened in a suspicious incident on Walton Street.

The boy was approached by a man on a bike at around 5 o'clock on Wednesday evening. He allegedly asked the boy to follow him into West Park. The boy refused and the man then apparently threatened him.

The Good Samaritan intervened and escorted the boy away from the man who followed for a short time, claiming he was his brother.

The boy was not hurt in anyway, but police are keen to identify the unknown suspect and trace the Good Samaritan who assisted the boy. The suspect is described as white, aged in his late teens, and around 5ft 5ins tall with a slim build. He had messy light coloured hair with some facial stubble and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms with a line down the side, a plastic type outdoor jacket that zipped up, a grey hood or hat sticking out the back of his jacket. He was on a black or navy coloured mountain bike. The man who assisted him is a key witness in this case and he is urged to contact the police. He is described as a white man aged in his 30’s or 40’s with dark coloured straight hair with a medium build and spoke with a Welsh accent.
