Kanye West & Kim Kardashian make Time's 100 most influential list
The full list in revealed
Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Emma Watson and Taylor Swift are among the celebs who have made Time magazine's prestigious 100 Most Influential People list.
First published in 1999, the annual feature is compiled by Time editors and honours what they believe are the most respected celebrities, politicians, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, religious figures, businessmen and more.
To mark Kanye’s inclusion, the divisive rapper appears on the cover of this month’s Time issue alongside fellow inductee Bradley Cooper.
Keeping it in the family, Kanye’s inescapable wife Kim Kardashian also made the countdown for doing, erm… we’re not sure exactly what.
The 100 list is broken down into five subcategories – Titans, Pioneers, Artists, Leader and Icons.
Other famous people of note in the various categories include Taylor Swift, Emma Watson, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Schumer, Chris Pratt, Julianne Moore, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Heaping praise on Kanye West, entrepreneur Elon Musk gushed: “Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list.
“The dude doesn’t believe in false modesty, and he shouldn’t. Kanye’s belief in himself and his incredible tenacity - he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut - got him to where he is today. ”
Actor Oliver Platt said of American Sniper star Bradley Cooper: “It’s hard to make people, especially your friends, forget who you are onscreen. But Bradley’s that good. And I think we’ve seen only a hint of what’s to come.”
