Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Lily Allen make up after 9 year feud
The two singers had fought since Lily's song mocked her
Last night’s British Fashion Awards saw not only a collection of interesting outfits but also some new friendships formed too.
X-Factor judge Cheryl and the ‘As Long As I Got You’ singer Lily Allen put on a united front at last night’s awards following a decade long feud between them.
It started in 2006 after Lily released a song called Cheryl Tweedy - Tweedy being Cheryl’s maiden name.
Although the song talked about wanting to look like the X Factor judge, the feud began when Lily claimed that no one really wanted to look like the 'Crazy Stupid Love' star.
After a nasty remark back, Lily then responded with an open letter which said: "Cheryl, if you're reading this, I may not be as pretty as you, but at least I write and sing my own songs without the aid of Auto-Tune.
She sarcastically added "I must say, taking your clothes off, doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer must be very gratifying, your mother must be so proud."
However, last year in an interview with Q magazine Lily admitted that she regretted having a feud with Cheryl, "I wish that whole thing hadn't happened. I like Cheryl. She's good on The X Factor, she's pretty and she's got balls. I like women who do well."
Well we’re happy that Cheryl and Lily have settled their differences!
