Dear Supporters,

We have recently completed our Spring Ground Round! With your help we have been able to support 10 beneficiaries helping 6,472 local sick, deprived and disabled children in our communities.

Karleigh Age 10 - Hull Karleigh is a ten year old girl with a learning disability, Karleigh suffers from tourettes and exhibits very challenging behaviour. We have funded a trike for Karleigh allowing her to spend quality time with her family. The trike is specially adapted to Karleighs needs, enabling her to strengthen her leg muscles and calm her behavioural issues.

Labour Ward, Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - New Born Babies

We have funded a saturation monitor which allows staff to assess the wellbeing of any compromised new-borns, as well as aid in identifying any abnormalities. This piece of equipment will help 5,800 new born babies.

Mia - Age 4 - Hull

Mia is diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and requires a high level of support. We have funded a trike to aid Mia with her stability and muscle development.

Joshua - Age 13 - Lincolnshire Joshua is a thirteen year old boy with severe autism and learning difficulites. Joshua needs routine on a daily basis, which he has at school and his home life. Over the summer holidays Joshua struggles with the change in routine and needs consistency. We have funded a holiday scheme for Joshua to keep him active during the school holidays and to provide respite for the family.

Reece - Age 7 - Hull Reece is a seven year old boy with cerebral palsy whose parent also has additional needs. We have funded a specialist trike for Reece which will strengthen his muscles and allow him to spend quality time with his family.

When You Wish Upon a Star - Grimsby When You Wish Upon a Star are a childrens charity in Grimsby making dreams come true for sick and terminally ill children. Cash for Kids are funding ÂŁ2,000 towards the Santa Express trip for 100 terminally ill children in December this year. The families will charter the Nothern Belle (sister train to the Orient Express) and take the children into a magical Christmas dream world! The donation will fund bauble making kits for the children whilst on the train.

Joel Wilkinson - Age 3 - Hull Joel is a three year old boy who has been diagnosed with Duchene's Muscular Dystrophy - a life limiting muscle wasting condition. Since Joel's diagnosis Joel's family have started an appeal, Joy 4 Joel. The family have no access to funds to help with medical equipment and adaptations to the home. We have granted ÂŁ1,000 towards the appeal. The ÂŁ1,000 will support purchasing equipment for Joel and adaptations to the family home.

Teenage Cancer Trust - Hull Teenage Cancer Trust have 28 specialist units within NHS hospitals to support children aged 13-25, designed to treat and support from the moment they hear the word "cancer". Teenage Cancer Trust are committed to ensuring young people diagnosed with cancer experience as much normality as possible, providing a nonclinical homely environment and activities. We have donated ÂŁ2,500 to Teenage Cancer Trust to fund activites including girly pamper days in the unit, chomp and chat meals out and to support the young people outside of the unit that are very often isolated because of their diagnosis.

Nathan - Age 11 - Driffield Nathan is an eleven year old boy who has Global Development Delay and as a nonverbal child struggles to communicate. Nathan has been taking musical therapy sessions which has significantly improved his communication. The therapy sessions have enabled Nathan to say "Hello".

Alongside this already difficult family situation, Mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year.

Cash for Kids are funding further musical therapy sessions for Nathan throughout the summer.

St Andrews Children's Hospice - Grimsby St Andrews Children's Hospice have family support workers who help families to cope by offering support with emotional, psychological and social care issues, providing practical advise and support, as well as access to resources. St Andrews Children's Hospice are redeveloping their sensory room, which is an extremely important tool. The sensory room enables children with a life limiting illness or impairments such as deadness and blindness to enjoy a wide range of sensory experiences. Cash for Kids have donated funds to support St Andrews Children's hospice in refurbishing their sensory room.

Every single penny we raise stays right here in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire and provides a helping hand when and where it is needed the most; so you can be sure that your money is changing the lives of children on your doorstep.

*Note: Children's names have been changed to protect their identity.
