The official Tour de Yorkshire trophy comes to our region next week.

It's touring parts of East Yorkshire ahead of next month's big three-day cyle race, which starts on 1 May.

It will begin its journey by going into East Riding primary schools from Monday, visiting schools in Bridlington, Market Weighton, Pocklington, Beverley and Walkington.

Then at the weekend, it'll be displayed at a number of public venues including Beverley's Saturday Market, Bridlington Spa and Sewerby Hall.

It also comes as organisers announce a historic celebration will be held in York on the eve of the international cycling event.
