North Ferriby Win FA Trophy

Underdogs North Ferriby United have done it - and WON the FA Trophy! The Villagers were crowned winners yesterday afternoon, in front of more than 3 thosuand fans from East Yorkshire - that's nearly the same populations as the village of North Ferriby. The villagers were not the favourites going in, but came from 2 goals down to beat Wrexham 5-4 in a dramatic penalty shootout. Paul Foot used to play for the team for 10 years - and was there to see them win: "Everyone was stood up cheering, it's just fantastic, absolutely brilliant day for us all". "This for the village and the club, it means everything for them. I know exactly what they will be doing tonight, I know what the chairman will be doing tonight, and the management, so proud of them all and pleased for every single one of them!"
