The girlfriend of missing Hull man Jason Norfolk has made an emotional plea for improved safety along the River Hull.

Jason was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Liberty Lane area after leaving Rumours nightclub following a night out with friends.

Searches have been focusing on the banks of the River Hull over the last few days and his mobile was recently recovered nearby although Jason still hasn't been found.

Faye now wants to see safety railings fitted along rivers, especially where there is a strong presence of bars and nightclubs and is backing an online petition: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/113614

A Humberside Police spokesperson said:

"Humberside Police are continuing to search for 20-year-old Hull man Jason Norfolk who went missing in the early hours of Sunday December 6, following a night out in Hull city centre on a night out with friends.

"Jason was reported missing at 3.37pm on Sunday December 6 after failing to return home following the night out. CCTV enquiries identified Jason walking towards High Street at 1.16am after leaving friends.

"Police are continuing numerous searches of the banks of the River Hull, the police helicopter will be assisting with searches of the area and officers are continuing to review CCTV to track the movements of Jason after he left his friends.

"These follow previous enquiries from the force over the last two days. On Sunday Coastguard and Humber Rescue conducted searches of the River Hull.

"Officers and Jason’s family remain very concerned about him and are appealing for anyone who has seen Jason since 1.16am on Sunday when he was captured on CCTV heading towards High Street."

Jason is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall with a slight build and has mousey coloured short hair (this was sprayed silver at the time of his disappearance).

He was last seen wearing a fancy dress outfit including a blue blazer with British Paralympics 1992 on the breast pocket, a white shirt with navy blue tie, black trousers and black shoes.
