Ed Sheeran Adds Third Wembley Date
He says the extra date was added as the demand for pre-sale was ‘massive’.
Ed Sheeran has just announced a third date headlining at Wembley Stadium…yes a THIRD night.
The multimillion-selling artist revealed the news today, telling fans that there had been huge pre-sale demand.
On playing Wembley Stadium Sheeran said: “I’ve made no secret recently of my ambition to play Wembley Stadium on my own in front of 80,000 people, so I am absolutely over the moon to be able to announce it’s going to happen next Summer. It’s going to be amazing, I just can’t wait.”
Ed recently scored his second #1 single in the UK with ‘Thinking Out Loud’ from his triple platinum-certified second album ‘x’ (Multiply).
The album has ended up becoming the biggest and fastest-selling album of 2014 and topped the charts in the UK for eight consecutive weeks.
