Mission Christmas Kicks Off
What a fantastic first week of Mission Christmas it has been!
Our 2016 Mission Christmas appeal was truly kickstarted on Sunday with our team of Christmas volunteers taking to the streets of Hull for the Princes Quay ‘Santa Street Party, the very first showcasing of the Mission Christmas van kindly donated by Beerhouse & Matt Vinyl Graphix!
Monday saw our official on air launch and us blown away with the influx of Mission Christmas Drop Off Point sign ups, never have we seen so many registrations in week 1!
A special thanks to Heron Foods, B&M, Barclays, Santander, Lovelle Estate Agents, Wickes, Whittakers Estate Agent and Quality Solicitors Lockings who have signed up ALL of their branches & stores in our region.
If your businesses can support by becoming a drop off point or organising a gift collection there’s still plenty of time to register and get involved with the fun!
We announced on Monday our partnership with Cinderella the Panto, playing at The Crowns Theatre at The Hull KR Lightstream Stadium. With our 400 charity tickets donated to Mission Christmas already sold out for the evening of Thursday 8th December.
Meanwhile... after the success of last year's event the Reindeer Run returns to East Park! We launched registrations this week, so if you fancy running around a park dressed as a Reindeer the week before Christmas, we can organise that! www.vikingfm.co.uk/reindeer
So far we have seen gifts starting to trickle in with loyal supporters including Mr & Mrs Bentley and Simon Longbone amongst the first to drop off their gifts (see pictured) thanks guys!
And.... we have even sent out our first gifts to a local children’s centre ready for wrapping in time for the big day!
