Humberside Police have raised an amazing £948.15 and donated 1006 gifts to our Mission Christmas appeal!

Police employees contributed to the campaign through donating a brand new gift, buying a raffle ticket or giving money!

Members of the community were also invited to donate a gift for a child aged between 0-17 years old and take it to one of seventeen police stations drop-off points across Hull, East Yorkshire, Northern and North East Lincolnshire, in the hope to bring a smile to a young person who may wake up on Christmas morning with nothing to open.

Assistant Chief Constable, Alan Leaver, said: “Mission Christmas presented a great opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of many disadvantaged children who live in our local area.

“I am overwhelmed by the generosity of all of our employees and the public who contributed to put a smile on a young person’s face, many of whom would have otherwise woken up on Christmas morning with nothing to open.

“I am delighted we were able to donate the money and gifts and support the charity in spreading happiness to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.”
