Students helped police find multiple cannabis factories by chasing down man in Cardiff
The suspect fled from officers but was stopped by students after a "long footchase"
Two students have been thanked for their efforts in helping apprehend a man who fled from officers after being stopped on Treherbert Street in Cardiff last night.
The man, who was one of two suspects stopped by police on Wednesday 22 September, was detained following a "long footchase".
The incident led to officers discovering two "large" cannabis factories in nearby properties.
The South Wales Police twitter account posted images late last night of the numerous amount of cannabis plants that had been discovered.
They also announced that the properties containing the illegal cannabis factories were located on Cathays Terrace and that both men had been brought under police custody.
