'Serious assault' in Penlan on Christmas Day

South Wales Police are appealing to the public for information

Police are investigating a 'serious assault' that happened in Penlan on Christmas Day.

A 54-year-old man from Bonymaen was found injured in the garden of a house in Heol Tegeirian around 2pm on Monday, December 25th.

The man is currently in a critical condition in hospital.

A 49-year-old woman from Penlan has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is in custody.

Police in Swansea are now appealing for any information related to what they describe as a 'serious assault'.

Detective Inspector Paul Jones said:

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this assault or heard a disturbance in Heol Tegeirian, Penlan, on Christmas Day anytime up to around 2pm to please come forward.

“Enquiries are on-going in the area to help us determine the circumstances of this incident.”
