Hollywood Star Toasts Club's Fans
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney mark first anniversary of Wrexham FC takeover
Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds bought a round of drinks for 365 football fans - to celebrate a year since buying a British club.
Reynolds and fellow star Rob McElhenney opened a tab in a bar to mark the first anniversary of taking over Wrexham FC.
Deadpool star Reynolds toasted the fans with 365 drinks of his own Aviation Gin and Tonics at the Turf pub.
The pair said: "The love and adoration for Wrexham FC - its unlike anything we've ever seen.
"That's why we've put up 365 Aviation Gin & Tonics behind the bar. Have one on us."
Wayne Jones, owner of the Turf, announced the free drinks by tweeting a picture of the flyer signed by Reynolds and McElhenney.
Wrexham AFC also posted the picture and tweeted: "Celebrate at The Turf Hotel."
Reynolds tweeted them back with a picture of his signed note - saying: "Y’know paper is the traditional 1 year wedding anniversary gift."
Reynolds, 45, bought Wrexham along with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star McElhenney - and the pair are planning a TV series of their journey to try to get the club back into a top league.
