Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been awarded the Freedom of Wrexham.

The Hollywood stars, who own the town's football club, were honoured just before the side's 3-2 victory over promotion rivals Notts County yesterday.

Local council leader Mark Pritchard says the pair "have had an incredible impact" on the community".

With four games left to play, Wrexham's boss Phil Parkinson has warned the National League title race was far from over despite the win.

He said: "Of course it's a step in the right direction but there's a lot of work to be done.

"The title race is not over until it's mathematically ours. We've got work to be done, we've got to keep going.

"We've got to keep our feet firmly on the ground because we've achieved nothing yet."
