A two-day dispersal order has been issued by Gwent Police for Abergavenny.

The force say it’s in effect until 18:30 tomorrow night around Bailey Park because of ‘reports of disorder'.

The rules mean officers have extra powers to move on groups of people if they think it cause harm of distress to the public.

The force's extra powers are enforced with they think the behaviour of groups is 'likely' to contribute to disorder or cause harassment, alarm or distress.

If they return to that area after being moved on, they face being arrested.

The order only applies to the Bailey Park area of the town, and was put in place yesterday - the day of the King's Coronation.
