Two Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder

Police have arrested two males on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with an incident on a path leading from Portrack Lane to Norton Road, close to the Tecaz store, in the early hours of yesterday morning, Thursday 1st October.

A 31-year-old man and a 16-year-old male from the Stockton area have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in custody.

Cleveland Police received a call at around 1.05am to two males found seriously injured on a path, believed to have been riding a motorcycle which had been removed from the scene.

Detectives now believe that there were three males who were travelling on a motorbike when the incident took place. Two males aged 16 and 19 years old remain in James Cook University Hospital receiving treatment for serious injuries. Both are described as being in a ‘critical but stable’ condition. A third male, aged 16, received treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees for head and hand injuries and he has since been released. Officers have recovered a motorbike in the Roseworth area which is believed to have been ridden by the three males.

A silver Ford Focus, which may have also been involved in the incident, was recovered by police in the Hardwick area.
