The family and friends of a popular Teesside biker who's feared to have died in the Didcot Power Station collapse have paid tribute today.

Mick Collings, who's thought to be from Brotton, has been named locally on social media.

The keen biker was a member of Teesriders Motorcyle Club and tributes have been flooding onto their Facebook page.

Chrissi Hutchinson wrote: "Ride free Mick. You will be missed more than you would ever have realised......so many memories, so many good times."

Shaz Morgan said: "Tragic news RIP Mick. Big lad with a massive heart and infectious laugh."

The clubs Chairman Joe Johnson spoke to TFM last night, saying Mick was "always laughing".

He said: "I don't know anyone who had a bad word about him.

"He was a real good, genuine guy.

"He's going to leave a big hole in the club and I dare say, everywhere else in his life.

"I'm just gutted.

"Just a horrible sinking feeling in my stomach.

"I got the news last night and I hope it was a bad dream, but unfortunately, it wasn't."

It's after news yesterday that rescue teams were no longer hopeful to find the three missing staff alive.

Search and rescue crews have been using drones, thermal imaging cameras and sniffer dogs, but have not found anything.

Demolition work had been taking place at the A plant.
